Rae Zablocki travels across the country gathering inspiration in the most remote areas. She is an avid rock climber, hiker and cyclist who believes in the power of nature to find one’s identity and self-worth.

Rae’s poetry focuses on natural details of the world, society, human beings and way of life that allows one to reflect on their own identity. Her fiction is often an extension of her poetry in which she dives deeper into the minds of her characters. In this way, Rae reveals hidden truths about the self.

She currently lives in the Mid-Atlantic with her family where she teaches High School English. You can find her with a coffee in her hands and her nose in a book where she searches for the light within herself.
